Just had a quick look at the SRAM Notts & Derby Cyclo-cross League final tables … WOW! Some fantastic results there!

We’ll have awards for Will and Josh in the Junior category, medals for Josh, Jack, Carter, Ella and Adam … congratulations to you all!

Heanor Clarion Cyclo Cross Sat 28th September

As most of you are aware we are hosting round 4 of the Notts & Derby CX league at Shipley Park on Saturday 28th September.
I have a list of volunteer helpers – could always do with more!

If you are not riding or helping then please come down and watch, it may inspire some of you to try racing, CX is one of the easiest forms of cyle sport to get into. You dont need a cyclo cross bike – a mtb will suffice (remove bar ends).

We will have our new awning on site in full Heanor Clarion livery so this will act as a focal point for Heanor members.

Go-ride Large logoSeems so wrong to be talking about autumn and winter when it seems the 2013 summer has just kicked in … but! Geoff has just two more weeks Go-ride planned for the tarmac at Aldercar then onto the grass!

  • 17th Tarmac*
  • 24th onwards Grass

On the grass you’ll be further developing those racing skills and hopefully picking up a few tricks for cyclo-cross.

Seniors will continue to ride out … probably until we all go inside for the winter … brrr!

* If for some reason Geoff cannot make a session then it will move onto the grass for that evening – you need to keep an eye on our Facebook page or our Twitter feed on the day for the most up-to-date info.
