Adult races cats (Regional B) 4 and 3 and (National B) 3, 2, and 1
Kids races Youth cat E (under 8s), D (under 10s), C (under 12s), B (under 14s) and A (under 16s)
Note that all races require either a race licence or the purchasing of a day licence so it would be advisable to get yourself British Cycling membership (the club have the forms). Kids get a free licence with British Cycling Silver membership and you can often get your first year at a reduced rate or even free of charge.
Also note that British Cycling also enforce gear restriction rules for the Youth Categories and this will probably require you to “block off” certain gears. This is easier than it sounds, it’s just a case of turning a screw until certain gears cannot be selected.
These races are often very well attended and can be pretty competitive.
