Derby – Changing Places Day

On Wednesday 30th October Derby will be holding the first Changing Places Day outside of London.

The day will be hosted by construction company Bowmer & Kirkland at the site of the Multi-Sports Arena and Velodrome project – currently being built for Derby City Council – on Pride Park in Derby.

Changing Places Day say:

If you are a cyclist, a HGV driver, or any other road user, come along and join us at any time during the event, between 10.30am and 3pm.

  • Sit in the cab of a lorry or bus and view the road from the driver’s perspective
  • Cycle alongside a wagon in a safe enviroment
  • Meet British Cycling Chief Executive, Ian Drake
  • Chat with champion para-triathlete Phil Hogg
  • View exhibitons from a range of organisations including LoveVelo, Bespoke, Moore & Large, Cycle Derby, Le Tour Yorkshire and many more
  • Win some great prizes in our competition
  • Derbyshire Police will be offering free safety marking on bikes
  • It’s half-term so bring your children along too!
