This weeks run we are taking part in the Long Eaton Reliabilty Run – 70 miles.
I will be leaving Heanor Market Place at 8.30am sharp for the Plank & Leggit @ Sawley where the ride starts from.
If you want to make your own way there please do.
£3 entry fee.
We can either ride as a group together or if any of you want to ride with a faster group then please do, dont think you have to wait for others – its not that sort of ride.
See notes from the organiser below for signing on details and also please let him know if you intend to complete the course or not.
See you Sunday – should be good.

“What a change to the weather!! Just in time too, as Sunday (3rd Feb) sees the annual VCLE Reliability rides. The shorter ride to Hilton, Rolleston on Dove and return is 36 miles. The longer 70 mile route to Ashbourne, Longcliffe will be the first time over the new route.

Weather outlook is promising with Accuweather forecasting 9 degrees with cloud and sun. I’ll be at the start in Warren Lane from 09.00 and the indications are for a good turnout from local clubs with a lot of interest in the new route. We intend to send the first group off at 09.30 so it would be good to arrive a little earlier to cover the signing on and pre-start stuff.

Route sheets are available for the longer course and it will be way marked. An hour or so after the last group leaves I’ll be covering the long course in my car collecting the way mark signs, in instances of a serious mechanical or other issue I can be contacted by phone (number on route sheet).

Please sign on (under 18s will need a Parental/Guardian signature) and if anyone decides to ride home and not return to the finish, please let us know, either at the start or by phone. That way we’re not hanging about worrying about people who are tucked up at home.

Here’s a link to the VCLE website or more information http://www.vclongeaton.com/

Fingers crossed for a good day.”

Yes it does Josh. You can see the route on the long eaton website – be a good idea to familiarise yourself with it!!

Yea, are you riding back to HMP after, and does my Dad have to sign a form there and then, or is there a form I can print so he can sign before hand to save him travelling down to Long Eaton?
