There have been a couple of exciting developments with the Cluster Session format.
The rolling cluster programme with now include options for:
Twice a year the cluster rotations shall include a National Cycling Centre (NCC – aka Manchester Velodrome) Accreditation session. The criteria listed below describes the assessment criteria that young people need to demonstrate in order to gain accreditation and access to open NCC training sessions and open regional racing at the NCC.
The first accreditation session is scheduled for 21st October 12:00 – 15:00.
The East Midlands cluster will be able to nominate 8 riders for track accreditation.
Riders for the track accreditation will need to be nominated by the lead coach for each cluster to HQ by October 15th then any spare capacity will be offered to other clusters.
Fee for track accreditation will be £10.
Go-Ride Cup – Track
The Go-ride Cup is a competition style session designed to allow youngsters to put into practice the skills they’ve learned at the cluster sessions.
The first Go-Ride Track cup will be on the 4th November with another planned for just before Christmas. These will be Go-Ride Racing and Go-Race (Youth Only) events.
The East Midlands cluster will nominate a team of 10 riders. Consisting of 2 riders from the novice/red group, 4 riders from the amber/intermediate group and 4 riders from the experienced/green group.
Entry fee will be £12
Entries will need to be submitted to HQ by 24th October by the lead coach for each cluster.
